Der Urban Art Monitor Berlin ist eine unabhängige Initiative engagierter Akteurinnen und Akteure aus der Berliner Urban-Art-Szene. Unser Ziel ist es, die Menschen sichtbar zu machen, die diese Kultur täglich gestalten – Künstler, Organisatoren, Fotografen, Content Creator, Anwohner, Besucher und viele weitere Beteiligte. Berlin gilt weltweit als eine der wichtigsten Städte für Urban Art. Trotzdem gibt es bis heute kaum belastbare Informationen darüber, wie die Szene tatsächlich aussieht, welche Herausforderungen sie hat und welche Rahmenbedingungen sie braucht, um sich weiterzuentwickeln. Der Urban Art Monitor möchte diese Lücke schließen. Dafür sammeln wir regelmäßig anonyme Meinungen, Erfahrungen und Einschätzungen aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven. Nicht, um einzelne Projekte oder Personen zu bewerten, sondern um ein möglichst vollständiges Bild der Berliner Urban-Art-Landschaft zu zeichnen. Unser Anspruch ist es, Entwicklungen sichtbar zu machen, Gemeinsamkeiten zu erkennen und langfristig eine fundierte Datengrundlage für Gespräche, Forschung, Kulturpolitik und zukünftige Projekte zu schaffen.
