From 2017 to the end of 2019, the Urban Art Hall found its first location in the former post office in Spandau. Across more than 5,000 square meters, an open experimental field for street and mural art emerged. International and local artists transformed façades, halls, and interior spaces — always temporary, always in dialogue with culture.
The Alte Post thus became a small hotspot of urban culture, combining exhibitions, scene gatherings, and workshops, and attracting attention far beyond Spandau. With the demolition of the building, the first chapter came to an end, yet it remained a defining starting point for the idea of the Urban Art Hall.
